I’m wondering if the watch becomes just a watch after the becoming idle for so long. You could achieve this by stopping all measurement functions (Heart Rate etc) after the accelerometer becomes idle for a set period, which suggests that the watch isn’t being worn because it hasn’t detected any movement, maybe! To have background information like this would be interesting.
Yes that is what happens. Only take care that it can sesnse eg small vibrations eg when you also out a glass on the same table.
