Suunto Vertical 2 General Discussion
-
Vertical 2 is finally on sale in Türkiye, but it’s very expensive. I’m already happy with Vertical 1. Maybe Vertical 5 too

-
I just wanted to say: So glad I got the Vertical 2 instead of the Race 2. Yesterday I wore gloves on my run. Couldn’t imagine how to use the crown button

-
@Horizontal_2 Yesterday I ordered my Vertical 2. It seams like on Monday I will get it.
-
I asked Suunto Support for a voucher code.
🫶I got 30% discount.
-
@Sportsfreund Hahahaha, Wow! Should’ve asked them that!
-
@Horizontal_2 I thought, “He who doesn’t ask, doesn’t win.”
-
Just a thought, I’ve had the V2 since it was released (as a gift), they work great, I have no complaints about the features, but what bothers me is the design change. I preferred the boxier shape of the V1 with thicker protrusions and a non-rounded bottom. Now, when wearing gloves, I find the V2 controls less reliable. I don’t know why the titanium color is so black? The V1 titanium is much nicer. At first glance, these are simply Race gloves and cannot be distinguished from V2. They look very “urban” and don’t give off that rugged, outdoor feel. It’s very subjective, but I still really like wearing my scratched, worn-out V1 gloves and will never sell them. I just like them better and feel better in them.

@martintrail Really? I think the cases of the watch looks nearly identical.
-
@Sportsfreund me also. Id struggle to tell them apart!

I agree, Suunto experimented with different shades in the V1s. The Race S is nice, the Race is too white and the Vertical was perfect.
-
@Stavrogin As I have a scratched V1 I see that its not the colour of be material, it is from the coating.
I would prefer an uncoated version, but maybe then it shines too bright -
@VoiGAS I would not of thought so. I have a few titanium things, a couple of bikes being the biggest. They are brushed and dull. I also have a Titanium watch from Tissot that is dull.
I’d quite like a brushed titanium V2

-
@VoiGAS I agree. For looks it is the titianium, for durability it is the standard. The standard bezels really can take a bit of stress.
-
@Stavrogin You are right - the Vertical is my first Titanium Suunto and the only one with scratches. Amit3, 5, 9P and Race S were really tough with the steel bezel. On a smaller/lighter watch I would always choose steel now - but Vertical Steel is too heavy
-
@Audaxjoe Yeah, me too. Beeing a big fan of titanium on Citizen Watches and Bike parts. I also have a lot of Titanium in my leg, so we have a very close relationsship ;-). What I can say is that not all Titanium is the same - my Citizen Watches are great and free from any scratches
-
I think with brushed titanium scratches don’t matter, on the bike for example you can just sandpaper them out!!
But I am not sure how much of the V2 is titanium, is it just he bezel? Would it look odd if this was a different colour?
