Software Update 2.48.16 (2025 November Rain release)
-
On my side, the battery issue seems to be resolved: I have used 6% in 25 hours.
-
@Francesco-Pagano it’s really sad that we are coming to that point where we suunto users have to monitor if there’s battery drain or not. This issue has been there a long time and has potential to evolve to a problem for the reputation of suunto

@false

what is ur hope ? -

My hope is that Suunto will finally (for real!) fix this issue that’s already become a meme. Just look at the number of battery drain complaints after every update - despite the release notes saying “fixed battery drain”.
And the funny thing is, the problem shows up even for users who had no issues before those update -
I feel your pain guys. But I have to report that the watch works just fine after the update. Battery seems ok and I like the new morning report. Well done Suunto!

@Stefan-Kersting I‘ve been „offline“ for some time. Was this a Vertical only issue or were there battery drain problems with all devices?
-
@ChrisA I don’t really know but I have a vertical 1 og there are many users with the battery 🪫 issue
-
@VoiGAS Yes and please too for Autostop and Autolap
every update they are back to default. -
@ChrisA for me the battery drain issue is for a Vertical 2…
-
Update has been successfully installed on the Vertical 1. I think even without loss of a personalized sport mode. Sleep report when waking up in the new design. If I open it again, it will be in the old one. Had no battery problems before and not now. Just 2 hours on the bike with 1.3% per hour consumption with best gps.

I’m currently get phantom vibration on my race 2, only suunto belt paired (fresh post update)
Watch vibrate without nothing displayed at all post activity
If I open the activity pre start page I see the belt already connected
I will soft reset and it will disappear but bug still here
The disconnect issue I suffer last time was gone after doing unpair/pair of the belt
I assume that battery drain can be caused by such behavior if the watch continue to look for BT devices after an exercice it is quite energy consuming -
Thx for the Info

@ChrisA Yes, it is the Race I. The last update prior this one mess up the life battery. What I think is that the connection to multiple heart rate devices just have something to do with it. I expected that this update solved the issue but now it is even worst. Before these two updates I had to charge my device after 5 to 6 days depenging on my weekly training but now it is not even two days. I do not even have the notifications on. I came back to Suunto after the horrible experience with the Spartan series and I do not think I will repeat again with this brand.
-
@Josaiplu I had the same problem too and reported it. But nothing was done with it. Think too that it’s part of the battery drain problem
-
@Josaiplu I am facing the same issue here. Everything is working fine if I use the Coros one, but with the Suunto HR belt it looses the connection multiple time in my last two work outs. I am not even sure that zone sense metrics are accurate after this update but unfortunately this is something that I cannot verify.
-
@Stefan-Kersting afaik it wasn’t
-
@Josaiplu is the sensor on the belt ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos yes, I have then removed it and still get one vibration, I then go to the activity start menu and see my hr with the icon without the belt. I assume that the last vibration was related to the disconnection of the belt caused by removing the sensor of the belt
I have now done a soft reset and no more vibration
-
No problems with the Bluetooth connection of two heart rate sensors and my Vertical. Two activities with more than two hours, Polar Verity Sense connected during the first activity, Huawei Fit 4 Pro connected during the second one.
No disconnection, no false values, everything was fine.
