My Plan Beta
-
I have some general feedback on the Ultra Trail Mastery program… In short, the plan does not recommend enough time on feet. Nor does it incorporate back to back long runs. The latter seems to be accepted wisdom in most ultra training plans.
The amount of mileage doesn’t really inspire confidence. Maybe the plan would work for someone who’s 20 years old and is prepared to gut out a long event, but I found it to be a bit light in mileage/time.

@DrSilverthorn I have said the same prior to the beta release. Hopefully this will improve over time.
-
Just had a survey on how I feel about using the My Plan Beta in the Suunto App, so I guess they’re looking at it. My feedback was not great tbh.
-
@The_77 Same here. I spend quite some time writing what I do not like, and not so much at what I like about it

-
I also had a lot to say. It is a start, but not to be a broken record, but Suunto software needs some love right now and this is one area that does not compete well with other options out there.
-
This is my third week using My Plan Beta, and the calendar doesn’t update on my watch. I deleted all activities to see if it was a sync issue, but I still can’t load the sessions for week 3 on the watch.
Has anyone received a response or managed to fix this problem?
Thanks! -
Sadly no news of anyone…

@Mi_chael für morgen ist ja was angekündigt. Mal schauen.

From time to time I try to generate a new plan to see if it improved since last time, this time I just got something insanely funny and useless(p.s. I asked to not include any aditional sports and just keep running)

-
@aiv4r Looks like it excluded all running disciplines

But even without running “Rugby” and “Triathlon” are funny choices. Its Beta, but even Beta versions normally are a little bit more mature.
Maybe we need a vocabulary for Suunto releases:
Release = Beta ( e.g. Zonesense)
Beta = Alpha (e.g. MyPlan)It is a little bit harsh, but the change from quality to quantity in the Suunto philosophy is recognizable for all in the last months I think. And thats not a good change in my opinion
-
@VoiGAS yea I agree. This seems to even be pre-alpha version. At least it has it’s own place in the app and one can never look into that tab. To be fair most AI generated plans are not brilliant, but this is far away even from ChatGPT level.
-
@aiv4r you guys don’t get it - it’s meant to be motivational! Either you can do it or you‘d better leave Suunto and get one of those wimpy Garmins!
I mean come on: 45 minutes easy pace with TSS 23 going 18,9 km - that’s how Suunto’s crew is doing it!
