Finding moves in my area
-
Hi!
I use Ambit3 only as a GPS-watch and just for tracking routes, speed, time etc. In MC(PC) I liked go to map and see other users moves and routes in my area. That feature worked in SA also in the early 2019 by pressing “explore button”. You could then see all activities/moves on the map as dots. If I zoomed out I saw moves from the whole world. But now this feature is totally gone. Cant even see my own moves that way by pressing “explore button”Have asked support several time but they just ignore that this has been a function at all. Its seems that the support dont no whats going on with SA.
Anyone else having this problem with the missing moves/activities on the map “explore button”?
Have they removed this feature or whats has happened? whats the point making moves public if no one can find them? and whats the meaning with that “list” that only says “theres no activites in your area” if it wasnt meant to show any activites there from the beginning?!

yep, same here,
also asked it several times but, the explenation remains idle.
its the main reason i keep using mc aswel …

spartan trainer user btw.
-
i was hoping it would be in the beta version update, but its not in it

It has been said quickly , but maybe not too loudly :
this feature worked in the past, so could be called a bug now
Please tag your post with bug flag and maybe some moderator should put this post in the right section for suunto and @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos to report it -
@Mff73 I just downloaded Sport-tracker and there it was! I could search moves from the Explore button, but why not in suunto app. its almost the same app?

I dont know how to tag with a bug flag.

Hi this feature was down server side but should be up again
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos OMG it worked in Suunto app again now. Cant belive what I just saw :-D. Havent worked for months.
-
@Paddeltrader we are working on this issue. It might go down again, there is no technical problem for that but we are moving some service parts.
So please, this feature will be on/off (perhaps) for the next few weeks.
Sorry (if it goes down again) for the inconvenience.

@John-van-Winkel it works now :-)…(but no one knows for how long)
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Ok, thanks for info
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos thats fantastic news, i did a couple off fresh installs, touht it was my error :). Maybe a heads-up in the future btw are all the moves from mc integrated or is it a new thing? Keep up the good work guys!
-
@John-van-Winkel MC moves will start apearing (and should be already) as we are rolling out MC history import by user accounts. It’s an ongoing process. So the more the users do the history import thingy the more moves you will be gettings around your area I suppose.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos cool man! And in the SA i have to put my route on public and it shares it with the suunto community wright?
-
@John-van-Winkel yup
-
It’s actually very cool feature.
I highly suggest to add a new feature like suunto-tinder you can switch lift or right on an activity to make a new friend?
-
Are there any plans for doing some kind of search for this feature as there is in movescount? Right now it seems to be very hard to find anything useful. E.g i’m interested in finding new longdistand mtb paths to follow but from the map I seem to only find like 2km distant walks and that kind of things.
-
@Vylli yes there are plans for that but not the very next thing to come
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Good news! I’ll keep on waiting. Nice to see things improving. The only thing I’m still hoping for is strava live segments. Any news on that?
