      For me,

      • Movescount app sucks, but MC web interface is a very powerful tool, and it cannot be replaced.
      • I do provide very bad comment about SA-- in fact SA is not sucking, SA app is better than MC app-- but MC ecosystem is better: if the SA app is only to made to replace MC APP, I could give it 120/100, I could dedicate more patience.

this is actually a very clear and simple summary of what it basically needs 👌

what the MC app can do, SA can do way better! …except from setting up the Ambit (yet). So it is actually a real good idea to go that way. I like MC a lot! And the SA isn’t bad either (with further development etc). Both together would be brilliant.

I agree but only if they actually allow full functionality with Ambit 3s etc…I like the new features but hate lack of functions for Ambit’s I also hate the lack of app notification control… So am still hoping they sort it out and they either leave website to movescount or they revamp it to include better/new features. If not am moving on to some one else.

Ambit 3 Peak with HRM, Movescount on Samsung S6 Active,Android 7.1.2…Suunto app installed for test only…

            for most of users:

            • Movescount web interface + SA APP, even thought SA is still in development, it more looks like a enrichment of features.
            • only SA APP and AXED movescount, it seems to be a lacking of old features.

I see Dimitrios stated SA is not a rebuild of MC, I agree, SA should be more powerful than MC.
but when we look in the request section, the user are requesting almost every single MC feature.

It’s the problem, we have not the same direction, we will never agree each other.

We will see a tried Dimitrios bringing every request from users to DEV team, and we all know these features will not be there.

I think the users are requesting all the useful features for SA that we all know from MC.
I don’t understand the social media type of features that are growing in SA…
IF the development team listens to us and Dimitrio, we will end up with an SA that is the essence of MC: pure, nice, useful, intuitive and powerful.

I’m waiting for it to be there, too!!
I still can’t imagine that Suunto ignores Ambits… it is a way too big bunch of users.

                  in fact it won’t.
Ambit 1 and 2 will NOT lose functionality, it is written down, surely it will not happen with ambit 3 and traverse

Sorry @TELE-HO , it’s due to my bad english 😉

                      I use google translate, better.

suunto, in its latest release updates for digital transition, also assured old users of ambit 1 and 2 will not lose functionality and will be fully supported. If the series 1 and 2 will be, it is obvious that even ambit 3 will be fully supported and we will lack nothing compared to what we have (I also have a 3 run ambit, among others) now with movescount.

Has anything been said specifically about the transition process and whether we will still be able to use MC after our existing moves have been converted, and it’ll keep bringing them over to SA if new MC moves are recorded. Or will this be a one-shot deal that once you do it you pretty much have to transition to the SA from that point forward.

Reason I ask is that I’m running 2 watches now. I just got an Ambit3 Peak for hiking/backpacking/back-country so I have better POI support and GPS performance. And I’m thinking I’ll use my Spartan for the HR capability on all of my other workouts and training. Planning to pair the Ambit3 with MC and the Spartan with SA.

If not, guess my only option is pair the Spartan with MC via another device and just stay on MC until it’s toast and migrate all moves then.

MC transfer to SA will be one shot. One shot for all your moves at the transfer date.
But MC will still be usable for New moves until… But new moves still won’t sync to SA and mass transfert won’t be possible anymore.
