It was my first smartwatch…it was new (i bought it almost a month after it came out) it was cheap and looked nice…i had to choose between Suunto and Garmin…as a new watch i thought it will have all the “goodies” that i had in my simply Honor band…i didn’t have any idea that some things was missing,i new about the language but as a new watch i thought that one day Suunto would support it…now that i know that its a"Google thing" with the little support of Wear Os,no…i have nothing to wait .so my answer to you is that i didn’t “know all this already”

To be able to customise the sports modes on the phone. The built in ones. The watch has interval trg sessions and I would like to be able to set it to time or distance intervals and to set the time or distance of the intervals. Yes I could probably get a third party app to do this. But the sports mode is there already

@meyton89 ability to customise the built in tracking activities is already there. You are referring to adding in additional tracking features for specific activities.
There is loads that can be done to suunto app - would love to see strength training show something similar to what google fit had prior to last update i.e. autodetect activity and reps. Better reporting and analytics around strength training, as no data is shown in suunto app for exercise, set and rep detail - have to pull it in and show manually in comments / description. -
@Jamie-BG You can’t customise the built in activities, you can only create new ones. The built in interval training is unique in that it has no auto-laps. Any custom activities you add will have auto laps, which is a shame if you want to create a custom interval profile.
There is also no way to set intervals based on time or distance, so @meyton89 's request would be a very welcome addition in my opinion.
As would strength training auto detection. -
@olymay - you are right and are wrong; as you can customize the built in tracking activities that are already there, but you are right in that it then sets them as a new activity (call it a new name). These don’t count as the 2 custom tracking activities.
And i have same issue with laps - I want to be able to see my auto and manual laps on my lap screen and or have one screen that is auto and one that is manual laps. But that is not a customization issue, its a feature issue as not currently an option.
Considering that we already get manual and auto lap detail in the activity review - can’t see a feature including manual /auto laps on one screen and or giving the option to have a manual and or auto lap screen being an huge issue to implement.

@Jamie-BG I’m really confused now. When I go to customise an activity, I am only able to create a new one based on an existing basic template (Running, rather than Running Intervals for example).
And I am able to create more than 2 (I just had a quick play and stopped at 5).I agree that it would be nice in intervals to have more options regarding the laps. Be it auto and manual, laps based on time/distance, or others. We really should have those options in a proper interval profile.
Also, the pace displayed in intervals is the average and I would prefer the actual pace to be shown. -
@olymay - taking a pre-existing template - you seem to be able to customize as many as you want (not sure if there is a limit), or use the Create Sport Mode button to create a completely new one.
There used to be an option to only create 2 totally custom sport activities - but that seems to have gone - sort of makes sense. -
@Jamie-BG I Only see the option to create sport mode (a new one) and not modify and existing template. I assume I’m being daft and missing something.

@meyton89 I am not mistaken that is the quick access list that appears on the watch, so that you don’t have to go hunting through the long list to find the activities you are likely to use most often.
It looks like it auto populates based on your recent activities, but you can add or remove manually too

@olymay in affect that is what you are doing - you are taking a pre-existing template (the sport you chose) and using that. Your basic sport template is still there and chooseable.
In previous versions of the software it worked differently in that there was a pure custom mode your could create, but were only allowed two.
Been a while since I have checked on this, as have had mine set up for ages, since we first were allowed to adapt and change them.

My wishes: for the built in watch faces to have legible text in the complications. I find the date and battery % very had to read at a glance. Also, the time shown during exercise is way too small for me to read while on my bike, so I’ve had to customise one of the screens to show me the time in a larger font. Another wish would be for e-biking to be a sport option.

@FazerDude Totally in agree with you. I said the same about the time in the exercise, small, it’s mandatory add this field in a screen. With that text size it is useless.
Regarding the size in the watch faces, it’s difficult see the text of battery or steps with this size font.Please, fix it.

@FazerDude i do the same as you, customize the screen using one of the slots for time. Considering we can do this, is there really any reason to adjust the time slot, as it may throw the other fields out. Personally I think they should completely remove it. If you want it, add it as one of your fields. Would make the most sense.

I’d love the ability to register a POI directly on the watch based on my current location. It would make it easier for me to remember suitable places to pitch a tent in the forrest.

if I have not misunderstood what you need, this is already possible from the navigation menu, by pressing the button lower.EDIT: NOT TRUE. I thought I was in the 3d dedicated to suunto 9, sorry.
