@vio112 So, create a custom Shower sport mode 😆 Not only you will be able to lock the watch, but you’ll get valuable metrics 😄 Statistics like how much time you spend in the shower every month, if it was a relaxing shower (how much did your HR decrease)… You can even set an autolap like every three minutes to remind you that you should stop wasting water or at least start singing a new song 😆 (Sorry for this 😆)

      Very funny 😄😄😄

Due to all respect I do not want be offensive. I am very thankful for all of this answers and opinions.
I am just fighting with this issue because it is very important for me. On the one hand I have excellent product with GPS, Barometer, HR sensor and other cool features and on the other hand it is a big torture to use it in the water which predominate all features for me.
If this will be fixed I will immediately change my review to 5*.

And as I said I spend lot if time in water because I am freediver. For freediving I use Suunto D4i Novo watch, which is the best watch I have ever had but I do also other activities like swimming, cycling, hiking and so on …and I would like to use S9B in water as daily use (in time mode).

So I do not know if there is will in Suunto to enable this feature…if Suunto enable it I will use this watch in future because I am absolutely Suunto positive. Otherwise I will buy another brand which has this feature enabled.

Or you can keep the watch and buy a thermometer. It’s cheaper 😄

I think it’s reasonable that he asks for it… I’m crossing fingers we’ll have a lock, soon.

one star is a bit misleading for other users. in this case it’s like lock button is >80% weighting of all functions 🙈

actually it is even more… 24h a day and I can only lock it during activities that (depends on the season but normally) is around avg. less than 2h per day… 😁

Hello, I would like to kindly ask about your help 🙂 I would like to know if Suunto is going to add “Touch screen manually disabled/enabled” mode to this watch, or if they’re thinking about it or if this will never happened? Or how it works? Who should I ask to?

I have another example of this issue. Long story short - I can not properly use timer to measure breath hold of my buddy in pool or my wife in the sea…when I activate the watch in the water it goes crazy.

I am not offensive, I would like to just kindly ask how it works and who should I contact for it?

Thank you very much for each of your reply 🙂

@vio112 As a workaround, maybe you can start an activity with a duration field. In activity mode you can disable touch.

No idea if this feature in time mode ever comes to the watch

it is cumbersome to use an activity as a stop watch… especially for apnoea divers and surfers who are training for big waves
