Distance in pool swiming

While analysing pool swimming in 50m pool. Breaststroke style. I noticed that watch (or at least suunto app) shows in half way of pool thati already finished 50m. Is this bug or i read this data incorrectly? I swimmed 15 lengths (750m). It is easy to see on stroke rate. But Swim pace seams to be off. It should be around 3m/100m. But when i go over it is easy to see that i started on 200m and in half way i already have measured 250m and rest of distance of pool it stops on 250m. It is on every pool lenght like that.

My Suunto also shows an inaccuracy when swimming. I swim in a 25m pool and any lengths completed in front crawl are reasonably accurate. All other strokes either show one length extra or one length less than I have actually swum. Very annoying!

I suppose this is due to the lot of changes we did refactoring and improving the charts with laps and summaries on zoom.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos of course i will send you a link. Usually i don’t analyze swimming at all but now there was almost no one in swimming pool so it was nice consistent length. I wanted to compare to my colleague, than i discovered this. Than i checked some older swims and i looks somehow similar. So i will send you next week message. If you can figure out something. @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos did you find any issue? With qf it shows distance in jumps of 50m which make sence. Here it looks lineary but it get 100% in just half of the pool length which is strange.

@tomas5 from what I understand the issue originates somehow on the watch. I mean, I verified with iOS that the data indeed where weird.

I also dont see the “here” you are referring to. Maybe some forum missed upload?

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos My fault it should be “there”, meaning in suunto app.

I was comparing today QS and Suunto APP.

Graph in suunto app is same as in QS. I think it is ok. Only distance in blue circle at top it shows 100m at point where it should be 75m only. It goes lineary fron 50 to 100 in first half and then stay same on 100m second half of pool length.

@tomas5 on Android we don’t show distance as it’s too hard to calculate. We would need to interpolate those 50m lengths to speed etc.

It’s on the backlog but not so asap.

Ios will remove it I think.
