Are firmware updates permanent?

Just ordered a Suunto 7. I want to try it out paired to an Android phone and then later to an iPhone. If I install all the updates and then reset to try with my other phone, will I have to reinstall the updates again or are they permanent?

@graham-nind I have reset my watch a few times and it has been up to date immediately after every reset.

@graham-nind Your S7 do the Factory Reset to the the lastest firmware that you installed. If you do a factory reset you will need to reinstall obviously the apps from Google Play, but you don’t need to re-update your firmware, it’s like other Android device.
