@ist-1973 The upper one with FCC label has likely been manufactured in and for the US market, while the bottom one with CE label was sold on the European market.
Different labelling requirements for different markets.

I think the question from @ist-1973 in relation to “new ownership” could be reasonable in this section. why?
I bet the watch in upper pic has a serial number beginning with 19, like mine does.
lower one has 22 and hence is way newer.

CE is mandatory but the bluetooth isn’t, am I wrong?

@freeheeler CE marking is only required for sales in the EU to inform that the product fulfils European requirements/regulations, but can also be found on products sold elsewhere. If it doesn’t carry the CE mark, it cannot be sold in the EU. It is not mandatory for sales in the US.

The FCC mark in turn (and likely also the other labels like bluetooth) appears to be associated with the US market, but on a voluntary basis.

you don’t see it in upper pic, but CE is on that batch of housing, too. on the left side, as well as the icon with the garbage bin.

I want to buy a watch. There are two watches with different inscriptions to choose from. I’m afraid to buy a non-original watch.

@ist-1973 Both letterings are fine! Had a S9 in 2019 and now also a new S9 Ti. Had both letterings and symbol layouts. The one with the big 9 is the older one. But I wonder why this one has no serial. Or just not readable anymore? Symbols on the right also very weak, almost not seeable anymore. I would take the newer one with smaller 9.
