Condensation inside the watch
-
@jeromep
mine is 4+ years old and retired.
I use it for kitesurfing only since I’ve got the Vertical titanium solar. If it is your main watch, I recommend getting in touch with support
-
@SuperFlo75 for the moment it is only an aestethic problem but I would like to know what can propose thr Suunto support to fix it.
-
@GiPFELKiND thank you. It seems to be the same problem.
-
@freeheeler I contacted them by email with “support@suunto.com”. Do you know if this email is still OK ? What is the best way to contact them for this kind of problem ? I could try the chat this week.
Thank you everybody for your help. -
@jeromep
in suunto app there’s a support link that leads you to the page with a chat function if available in your region and during normal office hours of course.
I think it’s the easiest way to connect with them. -
Very poor support… I contact them for the first time. It is by chat. It is like to talk to a bot. The only proposition I have it to send the watch to the repair center and I will know the cost to repair it with my money because I have the watch since more than 2 years (less than 3). It is not possible to know the reparation cost before to send the watch and if the cost is to high for me so I have to pay the shipments (41 euros) for nothing.
It is a watch which cost 700 euros. The quality is very bad for this cost. When I see the Vertical which cost 800 euros with this bad experience I know that I will never buy it. This is my last Suunto watch The quality and support does not follow the cost of the product.
Sad

@jeromep
I understand your disappointment but maybe you need to understand the business, too.
they can not promise you a repair cost without investigating the defect.
I agree with you, the watch should last longer.
but what you see now is a sign of wear and the watch is still working, correct?
I have no experience with this kind of wear, maybe it lasts another 4 years? maybe it breaks in 2 weeks -
@freeheeler the watch is still working but Suunto sell “beautiful” watch and I bought a beautiful watch. They communicate on the design first since the Suunto 9 so the watch must be beautiful after more than 2 years. It is a very expensive product. It is not everybody who can by a watch like that and when you pay for it you want a quality in line with the cost. And if the quality is not here so we must have a great support to follow us.
This is a very bad experience with this brand. -
@jeromep this topic has been brought already in the forum. If you watch is out of warranty no one can tell you how much will it cost fixing it without inspecting it. How would they do, magic ball? It could be a software issue, a hardware failure. In your case it may be a seal that is broken, or humidity trapped inside. It may need new glass over the screen, or just resealing. There may be a leak in the baro sensor. So it may be anything from “we just put in a new seal” to “we cannot repair it and you need a new watch”. This is why you cannot get a quote outside warranty until they inspect your watch.

You mean Suunto doesn’t have one?!

The problem is known by Suunto. I understand that you are here to closed the problems encounters by the users. The support is too bad. ByeNo, if there is no any ticket created destinated to Suunto to be followed, then you cannot say the problem is known by Suunto. It’s how companies work in 2023.
And if there is no support, you cannot say the support is bad.
Welcome to Suunto community forum.

@jeromep Do you have any progress with Sunnto support on this?
