    Something I did recently has triggered this. It’s either the hard reset I did to fix a sync problem, or the latest update.

    What happens is that the green/yellow lights on the back of the watch arbitrarily turn themselves on and then stay on for maybe a minute.

    Previously I never saw the lights unless I was navigating through the options from the normal watch screen to the altitude/temperature screen.

    I understand that the lights have something to do with heart rate monitoring. I have never used my watch to monitor my HR and have never even explored the HR options.

    I don’t particularly mind the lights coming on except that I assume they must be draining some power from the battery.

    Is there anything I can do to stop my watch turning on its green/yellow lights for no reason?

      @David-Young
      no, if you scroll thru the menu to the alti screen you’ll pass HR screen and this triggers HR measuring and hence activates the LEDs.

      they only light up when you scroll thru the menu. if you saw the LEDs lighting up randomly you might have 24/7 HR active and you can toggle it off in the settings.

        @freeheeler Yes, that was on. I’ve turned it off.

        The setting is found at Settings > Activity > Daily HR

        Thanks for your help.

        David.
