Appologies If this has been tackled elsewhere I couldn’t find the exact match. I try to import Venice marathon kml (also gpx converted from the kml) to Suunto app as import route but all I get is the track without elevation profile (empty). If I go via komoot or strava (or even garmin connect) the elevation is there. Am I missing something?

@EzioAuditore may be file specific, or due to the KML->GPX conversion, cause I imported many GPX files and always have the altitude profile 😕

@isazi maybe. The issue is that officially they provide kml and I import this but again I have no elevation. Importing it via strava works though so I’ll use that. The problem being the Piazza San Marco may or may not be available depending on high tide) so I wanted to edit that 🙂

@EzioAuditore I’ve just run into the same issue.

I looked inside the GPX file and confirmed that it didn’t have elevation data in my case. However I’d fully expect Suunto App to check whether the imported file has elevation data and create elevation profile if it was missing.

In my case I was importing from Caltopo which is one of the most popular website for creating online routes used by many races.
