Suunto 9 - Discovery button greyed out and it won't pair with my Android again
-
Hi
I have the Suunto 9 with latest software updates on it. I has been synching fine with my Android Phone but recently it stopped synch’ing with my latest activity. I have two manual activities to synch. It just seems it won’t synch, or pair with my phone anymore. Discovery button is ON, but disabled and I cannot change that at all.
I, then, removed the pair and am trying to pair it again but my phone won’t find the Watch now.
I don’t want to reset it, so how can I fix this?
Thanks in advance,
-
@Anokha make sure, that the connection is deleted in 3 places:
- In Suunto App, click on the watch icon in the top left corner, scroll down and select manage connection to delete watch from App
- in the phone go to the Bluetooth settings and forget the watch there
- in the watch go to settings - connectivity - paired devices - MobileApp and delete the setting there.
You should now be able to start the pairing from out of the Suunto App again.
(Maybe toggle BT off and on in the phone) -
@Egika Thank you. I have UNPaired the devices but it won’t connect back! I have reinstalled the App on my Android phone too but now it won’t find the Phone to pair with!
The discovery button within the Watch is greyed out. It won’t allow me to change it. This suggests there is an issue more than just bluetooth connectivity.

@Egika Oh but when I pressed the Top right button on the Watch for over 12 seconds, it resetted itself and allowed me to change the status of the Discovery button. It then allowed me to pair it again. So I’m ok now. Thanks.
