OMG! Zombie notification not solved!!!
-
@renton82 its not zombie and wont be solved in an easy way. We need a solid implementation in place before we just add a button there.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos add clear all on watch at least
-
@SlaSh that is what that button I was talking about is. But that is not in yet as we want a better imlementation on that
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Ok, but are passed months since Suunto 9 launch… any eta for this bugfix?
-
@renton82 you could also have said a thank you on the update.
No ETA on this as it’s not prio. -
Sounds great! I am happy also for the SSU users!
No cable here to update at work ;-(@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Could You say something about GPS overall performance after the GLONASS addition to the S9!?
Is there also a new OHR firmware? -
@paradize NEW OHR FW for the Spartans yes not sure about the S9 (dont remember to be honest).
Regarding glonass it kills the wobble and now we also added a function that if the GPS gets faulty cache (like your tracks are starting to become bad) then a reboot fixes it.
However, we are 100% on GPS improvement for next phase of the updates (S9)
This one should make happier the Spartans. Its the start of alignment to speed up the cadence of the updates for all
-
Updated !!!
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Sorry but I have not to thanks anyone after i paid 600€ for a watch that should have worked fine since day 1. Suunto should thanks us for our patience waiting months after months that all things MAYBE will work as they should have already worked.
-
@renton82 I totally agree!
But unfortunately we live in a world were it is normal that you can buy only banana products. -
@renton82 what did not work for you? The zombie notification? That is the only issue for the claim of 600e?
-
@paradize said in SSU 2.5.18 - ON AIR:
No cable here to update at work ;-(
Me too, please @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos every day an update is coming, broadcast a message so we can take our cable to work
-
@Oli_Ver I would really consider the tone you are using here about bananas
If you have a banana product I can easily facilitate a refund for you. Just pm me with the details and I can get your watch back to mama Suunto and your cash back to you.You are welcome
-
On my end, somehow the update failed and had to reset the watch. Not a big deal really.
On the banana products arguments, expanding the market means attracting users who are sensitive to issues that are, for some, minor.
I traded my F5 for the S9 and I dont think I made a bad choice. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. This thread is for discussing the new FW. Zombie notifications are present, let’s move on. -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I think he doesn’t like yellow banana watch band replace it with aubergine black
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I’m not of course talking about zombie notification only, do you think is it normal to have all this confusion between suunto app, movescount, movescount web, duplicated activities, data loss ecc…? Do we want to talk about wobbling gps? OHR reliability? I’m an expert user about all these electronic stuff, but i don’t know how a normal italian person that don’t speak english can understand something in all this mess. I don’t want to start a flame but you can’t tell me to thank Suunto for all this…
-
@renton82 This is an FW update on the watch thread and not releated to the future of the services that is Suunto app. Lets open a thread there if you like.
Regarding GPS wobbles and OHR reliability for GPS I gave an answer before and the same answer applies to OHR. In terms of reliability this is the focus of Suunto at the moment.
But the above was not mentioned at your comment as far I see up to know (your initial comment) so excuses if I did not imagine those…
Does this answer your question?
-
@renton82 I would like to focus again on the essense of this update that is the alignment of products to increase the cadence of the future updates.
For an S9/S3 owner this should be a minor update and we did not include the new Shiny GPS firmware nor the OHR so we could asses better and release later.
