Solved: Pairing Buttons stays grey after removing watch from app on iOS
-
I was experimenting with SuuntoPlus development and removed my Suunto 9 Peak Pro from the Suunto App.
Now I’m trying to pair it again, but I’m stuck.
What I already did:
- Removed the watch from the Suunto App
- Removed it from iPhone Bluetooth (“Forget device”)
- Restarted both the watch and the iPhone
- Reinstalled the Suunto App
Current situation:
- The Suunto App detects the watch (shows the device ID)
- But the “Pair” button stays greyed out and cannot be pressed
Additional note:
- I also reset network settings on the iPhone (Bluetooth cache should be clean)
Has anyone seen this before or has an idea what could be causing this?
Thanks a lot!

I could fix it without any factory reset.
There is a app called LightBlue that sees all bluetooth devices. I could see the watch there and connect it. After that I got the code for pairing on the watch, entered it in iOS and paired the watch in the suunto app. -
@Ecki-D. in the watch, Setiings -> Connectivity -> Cennected Devices -> MobileApp there you can disconnect the App from the watch side… no need to factory reset…
