I have been using Movescount for years. I do a lot of trail running and hiking. Before I head out into the wilderness I like sitting at my computer and planning a route with the comfort of a mouse and big screen. With Suunto App can you plan a route through a web browser from your Mac/PC? Someone please correct me if i’m wrong but I can’t see that you can? If I can only have this route planning functionality via the app in my iOS device or iPad then I will switch back to movescount for the interim. Trying to plan a detailed and long route using a touch screen will be too frustrating.

The are a tremendous amount of planning apps, GPXeditor, GPspies, Bike Hike, Ridewith GPS, the list will go on for ages. Also desk top packages like Garmin Basecamp and Qmapshack are excellent if you want advanced settings. Then just click open with your phone and SA should load it.
