    why there are so many differences with the altimeter ? i make a move with suunto 9, and another friend with suunto 9 baro, and never give the same dates. before we have the ambit sport 3, and always give the same information about altimeter…
    i dont know why a gps that cost 600 euros, have many problems

        Suunto 9 vs Suunto 9 Baro ? And you ask for différence in altitude ? 😉

          It is normal. I ride a bike mainly, if 10 of us go out on a bike ride we will get ten different altitude readings. Most will be using a Garmin 800 or 1000 series computer. I had a Garmin 5 Fenix and my better half has a Garmin 5s Fenix. Again very different altitude readings. We even have two identical Garmin Etrex 30x which give very different readings. I have found that it seems some units give consistently high results some consistently low. My Sunnto 9 baro gives low results compared to the norm.

          I have one friend who refuses to replace a faulty GPS as it always gives high altitude totals…

              @Carles-Merin
              can you quantify the difference in readings?
              is it 5m… 50m?

                    @Carles-Merin The 9 baro has a barometer and the 9 does not. The baro will be more precise and detect smaller changes that the 9 will not. My 9 always provides less total gain/loss than the 9 baro, similar for the Suunto 5. My 9 baro is very good, usually less than 5m off when on 4300m+ peaks.
