@johann-fuehrer because of i am new to suunto and wanna change settings on the ambit until get my basic setup. (which gps mode, which data fields on which sport-modes) i am connected to MC via BT. so i get the best of both worlds. a solid watch and background system that has worked for so many people so many years. and the ability to use the newest beta of SA.

Thanks to everyone! Done!. Both apps running and synching perfectly following this procedures and both using bluetooth.

I think the “big problem” problem is having to apps on your phone, both connected via Bluetooth to the watch. If both starting syncing at the same time, your watch can crash. I have both apps on the phone, but only one of them is connected via Bluetooth to the watch. So there is no possibility to double sync at the same time

To avoid this possible problem, the addition that I made to the procedures is set this limitations on these apps:

        • Disallow background data usage
        • Disallow background battery activity

I can do this because I not use Notifications on my watch, not need that the apps run continusly, and with this I can select when I like run the app and what app (MC or SA). In case that need that one of these apps it runs continuously, I can easily change this setting.

Now I can edit from MC web my sport mode settings again 😁 👏
After this I sync with the MC app to my watch.

Thanks @sartoric @mario_b again and @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos for this procedures post. 👍

Today my movescount (web) is also very slow. Solution: down bottom right of the page switch to the chinese server. movescount.cn is fast (you have to click on this this on it, only changing the adress links you back to .com. 😁 👌

                              Hello,
After use both apps for some months, and mainly after the last update of the SA I decided to use only the SA as the “app”.
I ́m not 100% convinced, but I ́m very close. My doubts are:

1)- I need any procedure to do to delete my moves, info and other data from MC?
2)- All MC related settings, even from web, are not in relation anymore with my watch if I use only SA and SLink to update? right?

                              Thanks!

@flypg you dont need those settings per se.

Also perhaps you want to keep your account there , just in case , perhaps MC does not go away

You will wake up the Devil with this proposal 🙂 I must admit that SA as it is now, and still progressing, and MC upload (with correct metrics 😉 ) must be a killer solution (for me at least)

If it were true that MC web will still be around, I believe it will work more in a way that it “reads” activities from Suunto App’s/Sports Tracker database, therefore allowing Suunto to wind down the MC web backend (nor frontend).
