          @Drakken
          …this is not a good sign…
          I asked for this frequently in the last couple of months, getting annoyed already by myself and do read now the post from @A-Former-User from April 2018…

          the ascent is there in the activity details but you can’t sort by total ascent in the list. It’s not there in the summary either…

          …a bit scary…

            One of the last survey from @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos showed us mockup with this metric in diary.
            We all eagerly wait for it (at least ascent sports men), but it looks on the way.

              personally want both as a mountaineer/hiker/MBTer having both allows you to see if you have improved over time, keep a check on you time as speed up a mountain side when calculated allows you to figure out when you will be on the summit. So for me BOTH are required.

                I miss values next to the graph… is it 3’300m? or 3’400m in the last entry?

                  Don’t know, it is only a screen shot taken from the latest survey. Looks like a mockup of what could be implemented in the future 😉

                    I know, I saw that and gave feedback, too.
                    But what I critisize is that no one knows the exact value… for some people it’s not that important and the graph will be good enough… but why not showing the exact value when e.g. pressing on that specific spot when the exact value is stored anyway?

                          yes it’s true, I have set myself a total ascent target to aim for by the end of the year…

                          but for the next 3 weeks I don’t care, I just learn surfing 😉

                              And still no cumulative vertical ascent metric in SA - neither in the log or feed nor in the summary. One would think that having Kilian Jornet as their most famous athlete Suunto would think about vertical ascent. Has Kilian not provided a similar feedback?

                                maybe he does not worry so much as he relies on various 3rd party tool, too?!
                                …or maybe he has some secret SApro version?! 😉
                                I recall that Dimitrios mentioned it will come in early 2020 update 👍

                                  @silentvoyager he probably just wears Suunto when he has to shoot a promo video, otherwise he doesn’t use the ecosystem and doesn’t care. 🙂
