Samsung phones + Suunto 9: Whatsapp issue

Hi there,
I’m using my Suunto 9 with many different phones (OnePlus 7 Pro, iPhone XS, Pixel 3…).
With almost all of them, it’s just working fine, including all notifications.
I’m having an issue with all my Samsung models (S10, Note 9): with just those models, all the notifications seem to work fine, with the HUGE exception of Whatsapp.
Not sure why, but just that application is not propagating notifications to the watch.
I use the latest versions for all the involved softwares: Suunto App, Samsung (Android) OS, Suunto 9 firmware.
I tried to check all the notifications settings but found nothing relevant.
Any suggestion?

I think Samsung is your only phone not using android native (except iPhone)

I’m just surprised that the issue is selectively present just for Whatsapp, and not for any other app (including IM like SnapChat, Hangouts, Slack…)

it’s just my first thought of differences when looking at your list. phone companies do some changes on android and they all do it different and sometimes very bad.
things just work with apple and native android.
my experience with sony is also very good

I have a s8 and no problem with whatsapp message (that I keep off, but I did a test to verify).
On note 9 do you have android 9 or 10?
