if that would be the case will there be a way to load SA activities to MC?You will wake up the Devil with this proposal I must admit that SA as it is now, and still progressing, and MC upload (with correct metrics ) must be a killer solution (for me at least)
-
@TELE-HO nope
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
Oh, man… Keeping MC web around would make my day and my whole month! -
@TELE-HO a very good idea

if that would be the case will there be a way to load SA activities to MC?If it were true that MC web will still be around, I believe it will work more in a way that it “reads” activities from Suunto App’s/Sports Tracker database, therefore allowing Suunto to wind down the MC web backend (nor frontend).

@Mff73
dimitrios says it’s impossible to wake up the devilI was just curious as I am 100% on SA with my new s9b at the moment and my a3p is more or less compatible with MC AND SA…
it’s strange to use two watches from one company with two systems -

THANK YOU!
Also perhaps you want to keep your account there , just in case , perhaps MC does not go away

Actually I did not use so much MC app, for my experience, MC is the WEB INTERFACE.

I use MC app ONLY for its hability to link watch and MC web.
MC app is nothing more than a working “suuntolink mobile” when normal suuntolink functionnality is blocked by SA customization.
If we have a way to export activity from “”““SA””“”" database (and not sportracker export) to MC, i delete definitively MCapp.
Exporting ST data to MC with Syncmytrack or equivalent, creates bad things in MC for me (wrong activity type for example). -
@TELE-HO If you are on an iPhone you can sync between them using RunGap!
-
@Brad_Olwin
Does Rungap make proper sync between Sporttracker and Movescount ? No discrepencies (like trail running becoming running, or some activities becoming “Other” ).
It happens with Syncmytracks (for me) on Android. -
@Brad_Olwin
“unfortunately” I’m on android.
but I’ll wait for November and see what it brings.
my personal top favourite would be having SA on the phone and MC as web end… it would be the best of both worlds -
I use Movescount web for add itinerary with Waypoints on my Ambit3 Peak.
I use Movescount app for add structured intervals training on my Ambit3 Peak.
I use Suunto app with my S9.
On November 2, i have a 80km Trail running race with waypoints. Do you think this feature come on S9 with SA before my race?

Hi,
I have A3P. I never used SA, but I’m curious to test it.
Currently, after an activity, I use MC app or MC web.
If I want to use also SA, should I first use MC app or MC web, close them and then use SA?
Thanks,
Meir. -
@Oktan
yes exactly. that’s what I did with my a3p.
after sync to SA you need to force stop of SA in app manager as closing SA will not drop the connection between SA and a3p. -
At least for Ambit, sync order doesn’t really matter, it works both ways, at least for me on Android. There are sync flags but SA doesn’t care about nor set those. And it seems that MC app has stopped settings those as well, but does respect sync flags set by Moveselink2.
It’s just that SA seems to be more aggressive (or just more successful) when connecting to the watch, so it kind of makes sense to let SA do it’s thing in the background and when you want to sync to MC, kill SA and switch to MC. Disabling bluetooth and then letting MC to re-enable it seems to increase success rate. But I usually still need two or so attempts - SA service restarts itself and can get to the watch before MC.
Cases where I actually have to kill MC are quite rare, at some point SA just takes over the connection. But it could be because of my power settings or permissions.

@Mff73 It is not perfect but the Moves are properly labeled, it does a very good job.
