@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Thanks for the info. Do you have tips for a cheap smartphone on which I can use the app for my watch? (I have no idea about smartphones. I am only interested in using the watch-support-softwares, not in anything else with smartphones)
lol just as well you aren’t interested in anything else lol as nothg much works anyway…
As to phones well as long as it is android 5 and above it should work fine… I use is on a redmi note 2 android 5.1 phone from time to time to see if there is a difference in features between that and my samsung 6 active android 7… And nope still the same shitty features(for ambit users) …

Well I have ran it on a HTC desire S with android 5 and a HTC HD2 with android 5 and both ran it. . was a little slow but it worked…
If you want it to run well at least quadcore and 1gig ram is what I would recommend as ran very nicely on our spare redmi 2

Sure
I do some test on my old Galaxy S2 too (LineageOS)
It works, but I wouldn’t use it as an everyday “platform”, but of course it would be ok as a sync device only. -

By the way: Does switching off the desktop support software not decrease the usefulness of the watches? E.g. Apps have to be compatible with the smartphones (e.g. I had read somewhere that for political reasons, Huawei switches off google apps), the SIM cards of smartphones may not work in the country which one is visiting, I can not imagine that creating routes is on smartphones as easy as on a desktop,… Because it happened elsewhere that decreasing customer-support etc. was an instrument of brand-deconstruction in cases where big companies got rid of competing brands after buying them, I wonder…

YES YES AND HELL YESS!!!
Depending on your watch you could end up with a very dumbed down version of your beloved device… Just look around the forum for what has been suggested could end up happening so far… I do stress that the suggestions are only possiblities but considering there has been VERY LITTLE TO NO input from SUUNTO as to whats happening and almost no real movement in the Development of the Suunto App it would seem the suggestions could be the sad truth…

30days of silence. is there any news to share @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos No news?
I am a Ambit2S active user, the only thing I have received from Suunto is a discount for a new watch…
I don’t want to be next year with Suunto saying: “Ok now your Ambit will be limited, I told you that and give also the offer to upgrade. If you didn’t do it is your fault!!”
So what’s the situation?
As I understood the situation is:- My moves will be moved to new platform
- my setting will not be changed anymore
But how will I upload my activities? No pc software means no upload.
Please can you clarify me the situation?
Thank you -
When can we expect more updates? It’s too quit…
It really surprises me how badly suunto treated its customers.
How do they think they can continue to exist as a company? -
-
@TELE-HO Exactly the same. I get advertising e-mails but never anything important.
-
@šÁRKA hi din’t you just get an update on this ?

I have several MC accounts and none of those have received the mail about November update.
Up until May I got one for every account at about the same time those were published online. -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Hi, no I didn’t. I only learn things her thanks to you and other people.
-
@šÁRKA the email is staged to people I think that might be the reason

New Suunto app is good but please make Ambit 3 Peak fully compatible with it having all the features that Movescount provide. Suunto is a great company and I believe its watches are better than Garmin’s. Don’t ruin this image by reducing Ambit 3 Peak’s usability through the Suunto App.

@Hitesh-Aggarwal: +1 ! Fully agree ! We deserve to have a decent app and connectivity !

+1. Agree.
