How to view POWER data in SA?
-
Well, just thought I would ping on here again.
I still have NO power showing in the panel directly after the HR panel, it’s just PACE / SPEED / ALTITUDEI would also point out that after that there is NO reference to POWER anywhere in the SA, would be nice to see the POWER in the 30 day summary.
I now tend to take more notice of my POWER numbers than anything else, which another thing that SA seems to be lacking.
any suggestions are welcomed with open arms

Still NO power charts from my Stryd in SA…
Fine in MC
Fine in QS… fast becoming the go to place by the way.
Fine in Analyze
Fine in Power Center
in fact fine everywhere except SA…anyone?
-
@paul870 I do have a power chart when running with Stryd and my S9.
Edit to add a screenshot.

@Brad_Olwin well for Tuesday I did a simple economy run (recovery) uphill so I was trying to keep my power even… using Stryd on SSS watch.
in MC i get the full power graph…
but when I look at the same run in SA I get…
not sure if that is very clear, but in SA I only get the PACE / SPEED / ALTITUDE graphs…
if I look in QS i get…
I have uninstalled, re-installed / tried everything.
finding this very frustrating… -
@paul870 So, which Stryd are you using? How is the Stryd paired on your SSS? It seems something is off here, either the app is not working correctly on the phone or some other issue. Are you running the latest beta for the app or the Play Store version?

4.15.3
Could be the app version ?
@paul870 You don’t have the beta version , correct ? -
@paul870
I can report the same. My setup: Suunto Ambit 3 Vertical + (old) Stryd Pioneer Powermeter (Chest), connected as Powerpod with watch.
Watch shows power live on dedicated data field while running. MC shows power after workout (manually uploaded via cable). SA doesn’t show power. -
Maybe is the pioneer edition and the log in Suunto app. Very strange all this. The only variable is the pioneer Stryd.
-
@Bulkan When the OP replies we can try to figure this out. If it is the Pioneer, it transmits the information on the Cadence channel if I remember correctly. I found the Pioneer much less reliable than the footpod and that is why Stryd transitioned.
-
@Brad_Olwin That’s right. I read the paper about the footpod and chest. If it is in the channel cadence I think it won’t be read as power in Suunto app. Maybe @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos knows it and we can report it.
-
Just to understand this is a Spartan ? Can i have a link to the activity where power is missing ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos they are using the first version of Stryd. As a power meter and is not a footpod only as a power meter. And is not showing in Suunto app.
-
I ll need links guys SA links to report this
-
I’m not running the BETA version of SA, so I guess it’s the latest version from the play store.
Android phone shows version 4.17.4My Stryd is the latest (wind version so bang up to date)
Stryd is paired with SSS as power pod as per the instructions from Stryd.
Stryd is also paired with my Ambit 3 also as a power pod same as recommended by Stryd.I reckon it must be something to do with the SA app, like I showed above, everything is showing the power charts except for SA.
thanks for all the interest.
regards,

-
@isazi Mine is paired as a powerpod only as I do not want the Stryd Pace/Distance data and it works flawlessly
-
Well, last night I unpaired my Stryd (was paired as a power pod) and re-paired as a FOOT POD as per the latest guidelines from Stryd (thanks for the heads up @isazi ) which has changed since the last SuuntoLink update.
So very excited to hopefully see my POWER chart in SA… bid drum roll… STILL NO POWER CHART…so now I have tried my Stryd as a POWER POD and FOOT POD both times and still have NEVER seen a POWER chart in SA.
I still believe this is a SA problem.
