Suunto 7 updates... Or is it too early?
-
reboot watch and try more than 50 times. not for me
-
@jorgefd78 same for me.
Keeps telling me watch is up to date… -
Well you’re not missing anything.
I wouldn’t call these new features anyway, just minor tweaks to some existing things.I’d say a bit disappointing update tbh…
-
I have not received the update yet, but reading the changelog only one word comes into mind…
DISAPPOINTMENT
-
@Yak-Ima relax. This is a fix release. Your requests are coming.
It saddens me whenever we do a fix release to get this discussion about disappointment.
We live in hard times atm let’s try to become better.
In advance to avoid these discussions I’ll transfer your feedback, perhaps then no second release this month for fixes and improvements. What do you think ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
I think you’re right, we’re just anticipating so much that we kind a loose it when finally something happens but not the things we were exactly waiting for
A company must do something right if it’s product goes so much to people’s feelings.Anyway let’s keep calm stay healthy and kalo Pascha!
-
@JANTIKAINEN I wont argue its not anticipated. It could have been a year with not update also but then the rage (its a joke)
Kalo pascha!
-
@Egika updating right now! try to check 3 more times and now it is downloading
-
@JANTIKAINEN @Yak-Ima @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I will chime in with Dimitrios here. Suunto extensively tests updates before they are released to attempt to squash all bugs. That is one primary reason why I have owned Suunto devices since 1998. The devices work with very few issues unlike some of Suunto’s competitors (just read their forums). So to reiterate Dimitrios: Be happy with what you have, be ecstatic that you are getting an update during these times and maybe thank those that do all of the work so you get an update when the world is in turmoil!
THANKS @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos!!!
-
@Brad_Olwin You can always give people open beta testing. The most impatient and thirsty will feel appreciated and willingly work for the company. (for free :-))) They can also be helpful in developing software. The more testers the faster errors can be found.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I didn’t mean to be mean, but just to express my feelings. That’s what came into mind.
Not that I need new stuff now anyway, as there’s no way to use it at the moment, but it’s just the feeling I had when I saw there was an update, wanting to find some of the cool things that I’m sure this watch can have… but just to find is just a couple fixes.
And I repeat, I don’t want to be harsh, but I’m really expecting much more from Suunto and this watch.
-
@Yak-Ima Don’t worry it’s not the first time I hear something like this. I only commend a bit “sharp” because I wan’t to make sure and explain that there will be updates and added value/features. Its not easy at these times and testing is difficult.
We are lucky to have external testers but at these times only few are privileged to be able to enjoy the outdoors and write down quite some load.
-
@Michał-Muszyński Unfortunately this is not possible only in the way of public / not public information sharing. You need an NDA etc. On the S7 it really depends as well on google.
-
@Yak-Ima and hey I am not saying that this is bad for you todo. Only that is very much expected
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
As today mine doesnt have update yet. -
@giulio i just got THE update
