I was wondering if anyone has encountered the same issue that I have. This has only happened since the last Wear OS upgrade a couple of weeks ago. The watch faces don’t remain the same. If I select the Heatmap, the highlighted trails on the watch face disappear. If I touch the watch face, the trails then light up again. Then after the watch face goes black again, the trails disappear again once I twist my wrist to reactivate the watch face. This process continually repeats. If I select the Marine face, the faces rotate between the Marine and Original faces. Is there any way to have the watch face remain the same?

@CyclingJon what are you describing for the heatmap watchface seems the tilt to power save.

@CyclingJon I have no issues with watch face changes but I do have a problem with a regular tilt-to-wake turning off on its own. I turn it on and some time later it is off. There’s definitely something screwy around gestures, screen activation, and watch faces.

(I’d recommend installing a different watch face, then reverting back to see if this back-and-forth solves your problem. Look for “Suunto watch faces” under system apps and try disabling/force-quiting and cache clearing.)

Thanks for the replies isazi and NickK. I’ve now tried lots of approaches and it still doesn’t work like before. It’s OK (but not desirable) because I usually only wear the watch during exercise so the watch face doesn’t really come into play.
