@Kurt68 I actually like the idea of using something like kamoot and being able to just upload routes to the watch without the use of a laptop. Am I able to upload a route to the watch with the suunto 9 just using my phone also?
And am I right in thinking the suunto 9 will give me all the notifications that I get to my phone, or is it limited?

            Cheers

When Suunto 9 is syncing to Suunto App on your phone it also syncs routes from app to the watch

              Itโ€™s configured in Suunto App

You can download gpx from Komoot app and import it to Suunto App.

Also Suunto App now has public API to upload routesโ€ฆ

                @pavelsamokha thanks mate.
Iโ€™m assuming the only difference with the lime version Iโ€™ve ordered is the colour of the strap? It seems strange that this Lime version seems to be so much cheaper when the straps can be easily changed!?! Iโ€™ve tried searching for comparisons but canโ€™t find any with the 9 BARO lime.

Thanks mate, I was more concerned as to why the baro 9 lime was cheaper than say the baro 9 black. Was wondering if it was missing any features etc. Im hoping itโ€™s just because of the band then Iโ€™ll just swap it out at some point.

My S9 Baro turned up today and first impressions are good.
I think my biggest disappointment is the volume of the tone. I would have preferred the option to turn it up but itโ€™s not a biggy and I can live with it.
The quality of the display is far better than I expected and I really like the look and feel of the watch.
Just wondering if I should get a screen protector now.

Thanks @Brad_Olwin thatโ€™s good to know. Iโ€™ll not bother getting one then.
After a full day wearing it, one thing I have noticed is the step counter seems very sensitive. It certainly tracks more steps than my previous watches, sometimes counting 50% more than actual.
I really only use steps as a comparison from one day to another though so as long as itโ€™s consistently out, itโ€™ll be fine.

@gazaman77 I think you will find recovery time works fairly well. Once you accumulate some time, your daily activity is added there too. I agree, the steps are a bit sensitive but I do not pay attention to steps anyway.

@Brad_Olwin thanks mate. I assume you mean recovery after an exercise.
I really donโ€™t understand the stress and recovery screen to be honest. Iโ€™ve looked at some articles and it states that while ever you are relaxing etc then the bar would show in colour as you are โ€œrecoveringโ€ your resources. Yet currently my status is โ€œinactiveโ€ and the bar is still grey and not colour.
Does anyone have a dummies guide to this feature ๐Ÿ˜€
                                  Thanks

@gazaman77 I have just sold my Polar Vantage V (which is not exactly Grit X) but similar and return to my Spartan Sport. Why?

I have used both. Both are amazing. I am planning, like you, to buy a Suunto 9 Baro, but the Polar Grit X is one other watch I am looking at. I am still undecided about the Suunto 9 but I know the guy who wrote these Suunto 9 Baro review and Polar Grit X review and he was also torn between which one to go for as they are both so goodโ€ฆ

In terms of features, they are pretty well matched. I would suggest, if can, to find a place that sells these watches and go and check them out. I think in the end it will all come down to looks as featurewise they are very similarโ€ฆ One has something over the other and vice-versa but in the grand scheme of things, they are quite evenly matched,

Iโ€™m not very confident in the storm alarm though ๐Ÿคฃ.
Weโ€™ve just had the mother of all thunderstorms and torrential rain and not a single alert from the watch.

@gazaman77 the storm alert works, but in my experience is good with storms coming when low pressure sets, not just with rain. If a barometer could predict rain on its own, we would not need to spend millions on forecasts ๐Ÿ™‚

It usually works with sudden storm. If you can see it coming, the alarm doesnโ€™t alarm you ๐Ÿ˜
