    Try adding an altitude to the POI.

      Add altitude manually and it should let you save it. But remember to sync with cable, as Suunto app doesn’t offer syncing of anything from movescount to watch with mobile phone.

        Once you switch completely to the Suunto App, you loose the connection to Movescount. New POIs created in Movescount will no longer be synced to your watch. In fact, this transition makes the POI funtionality of the watch very limited… The only way to sync the POIs to your watch is to disconnect it from the Suunto App, pefrorm a hard reset and connect to Movescount again… Or you can wait and hope that Suunto is going to implement POI functionality to the Suunto App soon…

        SV: fingers crossed :D
        S9 (non-baro): died after 2 months, replaced, holding strong since 03/20
        Spartan Trainer: casing broke after 23 months, repaired, lost watertightness 5 months later, died
        Despite some pretty bad luck, I still love Suunto!

          Doesn’t suuntolink sync settings done in movescount to watch?

            @Prenj it should, if I understood it correctly.

              @Prenj It doesn’t, at least for me. To be sure, I tried to add multiple POIs right now. Connected the watch to the PC, Suuntolink optimized GPS and that’s all. Those POIs are not in the watch. Movescount says “New settings are not synced”.

                Maybe it has to do with watch model you own? My blind guess would be you are not using some ambit or traverse, but some spartan or S models?

                    @inkognito
                    Sorry, wasn’t paying attention to it 🙂
                    So yes, that’s probably the reason for it. POI-s for post-ambit watches will be left with suunto app only. That’s the intention. Movescount, or whatever it’s going to be named in the future, will be used just for older watch models.

                    So if you care about POI-s, you better stay with movescount app/web combination until Suunto app gets POI-s.

                      At least regardless of which watch forum you are in, the topic of partially crapped-out POI support applies. It’s just a matter of which POI feature you want and don’t have. Suunto is consistent if nothing else.
