Ambit 3 Peak/ Movescount Sync issue on Android
-
I did an ultra event this weekend and when I synced the watch to the Movescount app it failed to transfer the data. I have done 2 exercise sessions since and both of those have successfully synced. Is there a way to push that missing event over… or will it eventually be picked up? If I have to manually enter that data I am not going to be a happy camper. By the time the newer Suunto App has fully integrated the Ambit 3 that data will be pushed off the watch.

@neptunejason
did you try sync thru the cable?
My wife’s A3R sometimes had this problem with MC app sync. The cable solved it.
Did you also sync to SA meanwhile? I did not get that clearly -
@neptunejason , if you install Suunto App, there’s a good chance it will be able get those activities from the watch, you don’t need to stick with SA or abandon Movescount for this. Though 2 apps on the same phone can be bit tricky and you have to make sure those are not running / trying to connect to Ambit at the same time.
Probably more straightforward way would be using a cable syncing with Moveslink2 on a PC, most likely you first need to clear sync flags for those two activities, but there’s a 3rd party tool for this - https://forums.watchuseek.com/f233/data-logbook-ambit3-but-cannot-export-movescount-4159434-2.html#post47842291 . Has been working for many, but still - use it at your own risk. And read that whole linked thread and salogbook readme.

Heyo — any workarounds for a Spartan on that app? Doesn’t recognize the watch.

@neptunejason I had a similar Problem. Here is my solution: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/4533/movescount-app-crashes-after-move-sync
The lesson I learned is, that for big moves (>5h) I use the cable to sync the moves.
