So, what are you going to do after Movescount closes?

@Ennoch what part of “Ambit users can still use MC and MC supports POIs” you do not understand?

@Ennoch Should be one way or another stated later perhasp this week or when I get a go to post this here.
That said, this is in many ways ALSO an outcome driven by this conversation AND the iOS + A3 issues people have been posting here
Okay, that’s definitely good news - I’m glad I’ve still got two phones with Movescount on them!
It really shouldn’t take a bunch of users shouting about this on a forum for Suunto to see it’s a needed feature on a navigation watch, but I do appreciate you being a liaison to Suunto, and the fact you share more information than anyone else from Suunto with these issues. Thanks!

Well I can’t even get Suunto App to work with my watch(reinstalled it) watch says it paired SA says it isn’t. Uninstalled SA and reinstall MC and pairs and works instantly… Have rebooted both phone and watch cleared caches and still SA will not pair with the Ambit.

@mlakis Apparently (if I got you right) “stripping down” MC iOS/Android is not free and may face technical issues. And even if done, guys on this thread would still be unhappy having two apps instead one.
The Ambit3 Peak I bought was not free also (April 2020), so it is for all who bought their watches and are now facing technical issues!
Suunto decided to strip down the web interface, the same could be done also for the mobile apps, and later they could move them to Suunto app. As @isazi said, the whole digital transition started before 2 years…2 years!
I don’t want to say the same thing again and again, the point is that Suunto decided to not respect their customers and clearly it was a DECISION, not something technical which could not be overcome.

Finally reastablished suunto app to ambit connection created 5 test POIs on movescount web…NONE have transferred over…and yes I have linked suunto app to movescount… what am I missing?

Nope and I doubt they even look in the forum…if they did they would realise how we all feel.
Ok, that’s not fair and not true.

MC web would sync via MC app
And now … Ambit3 moves->SuuntoApp(->ST db). MC Routes/Settings->SuuntoLink->Ambit3.

But now … Watch moves->SuuntoApp->ST db. MC Routes/Settings->SuuntoLink->Watch.
so my lovely wireless enable watch…has to rely on a cable to transfer data that could once be transfered WIRELESSLY!!! So we are take a few steps back from progess… Oh this just get b******* better. And this is in no way crippling the watches functions…
-
Could someone PLEASE explain the point of the Suunto App?? Pretty Please…
I am seeing NO POINT to it what so ever… Nada, Not a thing… Just a waste of space…
KEY features missing at the time of making us all use it. Lack of functions. Lack of compatibility for the functions it does have…

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Thank you Dimi… And thank you for supporting are beloved watches here in the forum as best you can with your clear head, and thank you for the site you setup!!!

I mean it should sync pois etc via the mc app. No cable needed atm (like what you tested ).
Except if you used the suunto app
