problems with my S9B

@Mff73 yes
So.
there are raw data files you may use and import them in QS, maybe you could see something interesting (registered altitude vs GPS altitude for example)
See here where to find this file.

As I see. You use a rain jacket for you’re workout.
Sadly the hole of barometer sensor of S9 is not at the same place of A3 Peak.
I think you’re jacket came to touch the S9 hole during you’re run.
Try to use S9 over the jacket. Or on the left wrist but try to don’t touch it with your hand. -
The problem is here
The sensor, comes into contact with the jacket and pushes the sensor.
-
I believe that @Luis-Duarte has the watch since christmas maybe he has runs without jacket and that this issue may be recurrent.
If S9B is so sensitive to jackets how runners do? -
@Mff73 thanks

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I don’t remember training without the raincoat but it is possible that it happened.
I will have attention in the future…
since March I have not run on the mountain again.
now I came back and the problem happened again
But if that is the problem it is a big mistake for a top suunto watch.
I hope to solve the problem
thank you all -

I think this was the first with problems

In this one, your altitude registered after 10km is really noisy, while quite nice for first 10km.
Something may effectively have affected baro sensor (sleeve, wind, water, wrist movement,…).

This occurs as I stated early in the thread because of skin or garments blocking/pushing against the sensor. The wind has to be very strong for this to happen. There is likely nothing wrong with the watch.

I will test the watch again.
I will do what you said
thank you all
I’ll tell you how it went -

If S9B is so sensitive to jackets how runners do?You put the watch over the jacket, I least I do that way, of course you can’t use OHR, you need a strap if you want HR readings.
-
@cosmecosta ok thanks
if that is the problem it is very bad for a top watch to have such a problem. In winter I can’t use it then. it’s just a summer watch.
I trained little since March and did not go to the mountain. now these problems have returned. -
@Luis-Duarte honestly this only happened to me once in over a year, and it was during a walk in storm kinda winds (trees falling down). I used my S9 for running, hiking, skiing, mountaineering, always under a jacket, never had issues.
-
@Luis-Duarte I wouldn’t say the it is a summer watch. I use it all the year without issues. Right now you are covering the holes of the sensor making a sealing effect that makes the bad readings, if you use it in the other hand you won’t have this issues (better if you do not use gloves of course).
If you use it over the jacket and you do not have HR, is it a killer? I do not think so… But if it is a must for you and you can use a chest or OHR strap you will have the HR readings and surely even more percise, not affected by other factors like WOHR. You can also use the watch under the jacket with the WOHR, there are some brands of apparel that make a nice window for the watch.

@isazi but your s9 its Baro?
-
@cosmecosta i have some friends with this whatch and they dont have any problems.
So I think the problem is with my baro.
but i will try again as you are saying
Thanks -
Just a simple advice: wear it on the right wrist if u use whr
-
@Saketo-Nemo next training I will do.
Thanks -
Hello Luis,
Just for the sake of it, have you tried re-installing firmware and reset after?
Also, after reset, sync with SA, wait about 30min for the agps settle down and before starting waiting for good fix.
