After I press the pause button, I can only see resume, finish exercise or in the middle of screen distance, time… but I can’t see screens of laps, pace, altitude, ascent, descent…

Yes because the activity is paused.
If you press middle button you can see several information but not activity’s screens

@sartoric It is a pity that Suunto 9 can’t do something so simple. Perhaps It will can with future update!
        thank you!

I have mixed feelings about this feature.

On one side I would like to see all the data fields when the activity is paused. (Like on the Ambit 3). On the other side, it is a very good reminder the activity is paused. On my Ambit 3 it happened more then once that I forgot to un-pause the watch. With my S9 never. This is because it is more obvious that it is paused.

It would be very useful for open water swim, for example to view all details of every lap that is impossible to see while swimming.

@surfboomerang I agree, it is less obvious, but I’m sure there is a way to do it, for example, when the exercise is paused, remove the local time and put a green or red title “paused” or “resume”

jokes? and then who hears the fanatics of the presence of the time in the pause screen? 😁

@jaume_l Yes. It is useless this way.
I hope Suunto will update it on the next update of the system
