I ran a route of 650m of ascent, my suunto s9 baro marked me more than 1500m of ascent.
What will be the problem or the cause of the difference in the ascent?

@tfm1973 look at all the spikes from 15km.
I had the same with Garmin 6X Sapphire where my guess was the sweat entering on the barometer holes. On the Fenix the problem was that sensor is on the right side of the swatch, and using it on the left wrist during the running with the swing of the arm and the hole in the direction of the air flow after 20/25 minutes of running, and more on hot seasons (with clearly more sweat), these sequence of spikes started. And creating big ascent values. I went back to Suunto as I was desperate for this issue! That Garmin always denied btw.
Anyway on Suunto 9B I didn’t have it as baro holes are on the left side and probably not affected by this issue…
BUT I had a couple of runs where I had small sequence of spikes when it was raining, thus I think that scenario could happen even if more rare?
In case of Garmin I noted that wasn’t water disturbing sensor but I’m pretty sure my sweat (maybe salt or so), thus I would think the same behaviour could be in S9B but with hole in different position and maybe sensitivity of sensor different is almost 0 to me…

something clearly happened at the end of your activity : very spiky altitude.

OK, i didn’t think you have bought a new watch 🙂
So first advice : search the whole forum for “S9” “Baro” “Altitude”, there are numerous posts with all possible causes of this kind of “issue” : from just wind into holes, to faulty units, or just baro holes interferences with clothes, wrist mouvements, sweat, rain, etc…
Give us more information about the way you wear your watch, the weather, which wrist, etc…
              Do you use Suunto+Climb ?
              Etc…

How was the weather ? If weather was changing fast it can make trouble becausd baro fall down.
                It’s a supposition.

Do you have STRAVA ? i’ve se you can apply there “altitude référence” and it correct mistakes automatically

The weather was sunny without any changes
I wear the watch on my right arm
I was running with Tshirt for heat rather as I always do it

and you were sweating after 15km and for better HR readings you pulled the strap tight and with your wrist motion you started pumping on the baro holes… this is the reason in many cases as I observe

Most of the people having this issue recently had problems with accumulating rain/snow [1], but sweat could be an issue. In your case, something definitely happened close to the end when the watch starts registering all those spikes.

@tfm1973 I also add that wearing on right wrist you have the baro hole in the direction of the run (left side of the swatch), thus if you start sweating is easy that he flows in the hole…
