Suunto 5 24/7 HR + notifications battery life
-
@tomas-0 Keep in mind that the battery drainage isn’t linear. My experience is that the rate is higher above 80% and below 20% then between. Some things you can try before contacting Suunto support. - Reboot the watch and phone
- Try to let the watch run totally dead. Then charge it fully (also a while after it reached 100%)
If that didn’t resolve it, contact Suunto support

@surfboomerang thank you for fast reply, i am going to google how to reboot watch and i will try whst you suggest.

does anyone actually reach this battery life? I get 3-4,5 days out of mine s9 with hr/sleep but no notifications.
-

-
@surfboomerang but you don’t have daily hr and sleep on. I think it singnificantly decreases the battery life.
-
@дима-мельниченко That indeed can reduce the battery lifetime significantly
-
i will return in few days with info if soft reset and full charge cycle helped.
-
@дима-мельниченко OP is talking about the S5 not the S9.
-
@isazi are there more advanced algos or more energy efficient hr sensor in s5? Battery on s9 is supposed to be beaffier, no?
I kinda extrapolated my experience with s9 and spartan trainer whr, which is the previous to s5 modell. But of course I can’t say for sure, since I had no direct experience with s5.

This is my battery life. HR 24/7 enabled, sleep tracking enabled, bluetooth notifications disabled, vibration disabled, tones in button off mode. I did use GPS for 10minutes. I had one indoor activity with HR for 20 minutes. Once per day i synchronised with suunto app. Every day a played with watch around 5-10 minutes. Backlight was off 99% of time. So it looks i was too rush. Battery drop was fast only above 80% of battery. At around 80% i did soft reset. Maybe it helped to stop rapid battery drain. I am very satisfied with result.
