When you turn on the battery saver mode what functions remain? Say if I turn in battery saver mode before I sleep, would the watch still record my heart rate? I know some other watches can record heart rate and sleep activity on their low power modes. This would be a great feature to add if it isn’t present

@suuntoman Battery Saver mode is for extreme situations. The Battery Saver mode will only tell the time, all other watch features are disabled and there is no communication by BT or WiFi.

@brad_olwin must admit I would be happy to loose half the days to get some additional features.

@jamie-bg Not possible, this feature works for example, when you are exercising and run out of battery ( I do this often) your workout is saved up to the point where there is insufficient battery to continue. You still get the time displayed on the watch. It is not intended to be a general battery saver. It is intended for situations where i) you need to go a long time between charges or ii) you run out of battery either for daily or exercise use.

Thanks for the answers. I wasn’t sure what features would remain when I turn it on.

Putting watch into plane mode can also make a major difference. Was finding it less than 1% of battery per hour.

Only holiday at moment, in water, on beach a lot so no point being connected to phone, so been putting in plane mode and noticed battery savings.

The mad thing here is that you can not disable the tilt-to-wake funtion on battery saver mode. So if you change to that mode at night, you will not sleep if you move a lot in the bed.
