    No HR displayed in custom run with power mode

      Watch: 9 Baro
      Firmware: 2.16.26
      Sport mode: run with power, lightly customised
      Problem: HR shows connection to chest strap before run, HR does not show during the run. After the run, HR data shown in the app as if it had been recorded normally.

      HR settings: chest strap on, wrist on. No optical HR LED activity when I had a peak under the watch (normal if connected to chest strap?).

      Symptoms of no HR: HR field blank (–), all fields dependant on HR unpopulated (zones ring, zones data page).

      Steps tried to resolve: stopped and started the run three times, on the third attempt w/o HR display I decided to run with just power. No issue with power data or other data fields. No issue with HR display in ‘watch mode’ after the run.

      Other oddity: my resources have been showing as low as 0% today before swim/run, despite a rest day yesterday. Usually resources track with expectations. Up to 6% post exercise. May be a comorbidity.

        @ze-stuart I had this happen to me on multiple occasions for other custom modes as well, especially with Polar straps. A watch reboot usually would cure that.

        The issue comes and goes, though thankfully I haven’t seen it on the latest versions of firmware, especially after having switched to Garmin HRM-Pro.

            @ze-stuart Sadly I didn’t. It was happening around the time when other weirdness with heart rate and saving screen at the end of workout being stuck like forever was happening, so I chalked it off to that one.
