beep every 500m

Hi there, i would like to ask if suunto 5 can notify me every 500m for open water swimming or every 1 khm on running or 5 khm on cycling. Also i made a new sport mode for open water swimming with swim distance and it doesn’t count. Meters stay at zero :(. Works fine on basic mode though. Thank you in advance

@angela-angela Before you start an excercise go down for Options (from the screen with “Start”, HR icons etc) and set Autolap to desired distance. The watch will then beep and vibrate at the end of each automatically created lap of given distance.

@inkognito well after several open water swims i have notice that it doesn’t notify me on 500meters. Maybe its because they are two options kilometers and miles. On 0.5 khm its does not jotify me

@angela-angela That’s odd. Does it work during other outdoor sports? If not, you might have turned the tones or vibrations off and it just doesn’t beep/vibrate. Also make sure you don’t have Do not disturb mode on.
If it works for sports like running, there might be some problem with distance-based autolaps during open water swimming because of the GPS signal interruptions. I always use duration-based autolaps during open water swimming and that works fine. Unfortunately, the water temperature around my place is approx. 5°C, so I’m not really too keen to test it now

@inkognito It works fine on walking, running and cycling. I tried both, duration and distance but no luck…I think its because the interruption of the gps
Also, i would like to ask, is there a way to permanently disable heart monitor on open water swimming or i have to disable it every time? thank you -
@angela-angela you must disable HR each time.

@angela-angela that is the reason. The distance is updated after at least 15-20m from my experience, and sometimes longer till it knows for good.
