    GPS lock time combined with altimeter accuracy issues

      Hi all, recent S7 buyer here and am confused why GPS is taking so long to lock even with wifi setup and ample opportunities for watch to get recent AGPS logs from internet. Its a nearly brand new S7 titanium. I have done factory resets and restarts and app restarts and GPS accuracy has improved over last few tries but still consistently takes 3+ minutes to lock while outside with very good view of sky and elevation data (ascent, descent, altitude) is all wrong. I’m assuming either baro hole is dirty/obstructed or GPS lock isn’t strong so fusedalti not working great or both. Unsure of what to do to improve readings and lock time. Open to any and all suggestions of what works for others.

        @northeast_trekker mine locks in seconds, this is not typical. If you have done all you can you may want to contact support.

            @brad_olwin that is what I thought. will keep trying to see if it improves but otherwise support is a good option. @judnoe I do have that option checked so don’t know what could be going on.

              @brad_olwin here is another head scratcher. Suunto app takes 3 mins to lock but Google fit app locks GPS in a second or so. Is there a way that I can delete the Wear app and reinstall?

                @northeast_trekker If you delete the Wear App you will have to completely reset the watch. I would do this if you have not done so prior to contacting support. If you have reset and set up as a brand new watch then something is not right. I have two S7s and neither displays this behavior.

                  @brad_olwin it seems like support can fix if I ship to a service center. I’m going to do that because regardless of whether or not its a wear app issue the altimeter is way off and gps accuracy on google fit activities (with immediate fix) were terrible. I think it just needs to be serviced. might be a faulty gps chip or connection etc.

                    @northeast_trekker Good, the altimeters on both my S7s have been quite good. However, most of my climbs are larger (mountains) and not rolling hills. That is where I live and where my experience base is.
