I have many POIs in my A3 that were created in Movescount. Is it possible to get those into the POI Library in the app? After syncing with the newest version of Suuntolink, no POIs are showing in the app.

I understand that it is possible to create new POIs in the app and transfer them to the watch using Suuntolink, but I’d prefer not to recreate all my POIs.

Edit: I just discovered that after syncing with Suuntolink, all POIs have been erased from my A3! This is very inconvenient, as I’ll have to now recreate them for a running event this weekend. 😞

@paulbc I believe it has been discussed before, and support should be able to help you.

I contacted support and they say it is not possible to transfer POIs, they all need to be recreated in the app.

A major fail in the transition execution. It seems like it would be easy to resolve in the same way it was possible to transfer Moves.

I do have the same issue with transfering Routes. I have created cca 200 routes in Movescount that I would like to transfer to Suunto App. Suunto suggests doing that one-by-one, a tedious process with so many Routes. I would appreciate a possibility to batch-export from Movescount and a batch-import to Suunto App.

@PaulBC, you have mentioned “easy to resolve in the same way it was possible to transfer Moves”. Are you referring to one-by-one process, or a batch export/import that I am not aware of?

I also suggest that Suunto keeps Movescount operational until a batch-export of Routes and POIs issue is solved.

You can use Quantified-self.io (search this forum), there is a mass route upload to SA in it (or use also runalyze, same functionality for route transfer)

@mff73 Thanks for the tip. This solves the second part of the problem, i.e. batch transfer of GPX files to SA. How about batch download of Routes/POIs from Movescount to GPX files? Did anybody solve this problem?

@peter-juvan , POIs and routes are included in Data Export - https://www.movescount.com/settings#export .
It was rather slow when I used it last time about a month ago, took days (if not week+) to get the download link, but I’m sure you’ll receive it eventually.

If you need those right now and would rather leave hacky ways aside (a’la https://gist.github.com/marguslt/4ad715ae43475cd90031c29f9ff1f039 , which should still work), there’s also a chrome extension for MC POIs - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/movescount-helper/cebfemegbnobfibklpbbkaiblcmjgebf
