I was thinking if it makes any sense to delete the Sports-Tracker account with all its data, then somehow erase all the date in the SuuntoApp and start new with the SA and the Movescount connection…but I guess its not worth the work…
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos said in Movescount --> Suunto App:
in sort the ST has a differnt UI over the same data
actually its a good idea. But wait fist for the connection to be ok .

its a good idea because MC->SA has more data than MC->SA
If we would say it like so: The SA model has more data over the ST model in database.
-
But like you said, it will make more sense when the connection is better than at the moment. And the other way round, SA to MC will come too.

@jorgefd78 Do the accounts have to use the same credentials? I don’t have this option either…
-
@fazel no that is not needed and the option is removed ATM. It was a test.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Thank you. What is the best way to get data to Strava? Can we sync to both SA and MC app’s for the time being on iOS? Or, is it better to just use MC? I like the UI of SA better, but really don’t have to have to manually upload files. There’s also RunGap which might allow uploads if using only SA and syncing to Apple Health…
-
Using both apps, SA and MovesCount can cause troubles with the watch, so best way to get data to Strava is the Movescount Sync via cable and SuuntoLink.
If you don’t have a PC, see above. When running both apps on iOS, the watch will freeze and restart itself. It may work some time, but problems can (will?) occur. I my case both apps running worked a while, could sync with both, but had to make sure only one app is open and not the other still in the background. But now, it makes my watch restart almost every time.

@slash atm I dont know.
Also atm this is very early and I have not tested it at all.Data duplication is not an issue afaik.
To be honest this feature afaik now it’s off to be refined so it makes no sense to dig into details yet…
I know this is off but I did activate it. Lots of duplicates and many of the moves did not transfer, hope that will be sorted out. If it helps at all, the duplicates seemed to be triggered by different comments in the moves. If no comments at all they were not duplicated.
-
@tazio390 I don’t have that option in 1.2.0
How should I do to move my older moves to Suunto App from MoveScount…? -
@maxm83 it is disabled at the moment to fix some bugs.
-
@slash thank you, I missed it if mentioned in previous posts
-
@maxm83 If absolutely necessary, you can use RUNGAP to send your data without problems to MovesCount.
-
@armin-s you forgot to mention that it is working only on iOS

There is a problem with RunGap as not all data are synchronized. For example, Power data are not transferred from the Suunto app to MC if you use RunGap. I think this is because the Suunto app is not yet configured to provide power but I may be mistaken.
-
@brad_olwin RunGap is importing data from sportstracker which haven’t got power earlier cause power pod could not be connected to ST. Now with suunto app game is different so you can inform RunGap developer that new data is available, he is quite fast on response and app upgrade
-
@slash we see power in SA, but does that mean it’s also available for export via the API that Mr. RunGap queries?

Will take some time - here the answer from the RunGap developer on my request: „Thank you very much for contacting RunGap support.
Your request (#4964) has been received - but every single person in the company (all one of them) are currently busy supporting children with critical illnesses by cycling from Denmark to Paris with Team Rynkeby (https://www.team-rynkeby.com). Unfortunately this means that no-one will be looking into your request until July 16th at the earliest. Tough luck.” -
@ze-stuart of sportstracker is showing that data it should, but cannot confirm, need to ask developer for that.
-
@armin-s they are out for greater things so quite sufficient justification for waiting
-
@armin-s check now.
