Bluetooth device ID issue
-
I have a number of different cadence devices that I use as I am designing an application and I have noticed with my nine that certain cadence devices that are generic seem to be unable to be effectively shown as separate items when it comes to my watch.
I have been able to successfully pair more than one device of the same generic brand to other watches without any trouble whatsoever however it seems that the unique identifier seems to be perhaps not a concatenation of fields or is only resembling one particular ID for a generic device. So I’m unable to pay more than one of these at a time because it’s thinks that it’s the same device. I have previously opened a service call to which I got a response back from the agent online after speaking to technical staff that this was a red herring. However I’m still going to write it here because it’s just simply worth mentioning I understand that devices try to create versions of products that are specific to their own using a scope of device IDs however certain generic things I’ve been around since the dawn of technology and should still operate as intended if they’re generic in their own format such as a heart monitor or a magnetic cadence style counter device.
