I’m encountering an issue where the Suunto app is causing my phone to reboot, even when not in use. I’ve tried reinstalling the app, updating it, and setting battery settings to “Unrestricted,” but the problem persists after two days.

Uninstalling the app stops the reboots entirely, confirming the app is the cause. Help me PLEASEEEE!!!

@ryhoage Same happens to me. I called to customer help and they responded with sitty “help”. First telling me it is very strange for Suunto App to be the problem, even if I am certain. As soon as I uninstall it, my phone runs okay. Also telling me to change my phone or if it was with Android to try it on a IOS and the other way around too. The last thing they did was offering Sports tracker app (almost the same to Suunto, so I think they have the same developer, maybe they did it to overcome this…) as a solution, but you have to pay to use most of the features, so it’s not an option. I found some forum with the same issue stated almost two years ago, so I think they have no idea how to solve it.
I don’t want to buy a Garmin or Coros, I always loved SUUNTO, but with this isuue, and the surrealistic call I had with customer care I am extremelly dissapointed with them.

If there is an easy fix, they should have found it since 2023…

I have the same issues on MIUI 14 / Android 12. The last stable version that doesn’t crash is 4.100.12, and I had to downgrade to that version by downloading the API file. I thought the new version, v.5, might resolve the issue, and it worked for a few days, but today the phone reset itself again upon opening the app. I’ve trusted Suunto for a long time, but I think I’ll be forced to switch to Garmin.
