I don’t know if this is the right place for this question; it’s about recovery. I use the Suunto Run for about a month, but it’s probably the same for all watches.

      Initial situation:

Sleep data recording is problematic. Sometimes only half of my sleep is recorded; sometimes I seem so relaxed that working at my desk is counted as a nap; if it’s just before I go to sleep, it’s sometimes counted as sleep, even though I’ve at least brushed my teeth in between.

(On average, the sleep time seems to be fine.🤔 )
(The option for manual adjustments could, of course, help here: https://forum.suunto.com/post/170029)

Wearing the watch in bed isn’t particularly comfortable anyway. This raises the question of necessity. I would like to have all the necessary data in the Suunto app to accurately see my progress and training development (CTL, ALT, TSB). In the recovery section (Recovery State), HRV is interesting as a warning level, although I consider the recovery percentage to be rather optimistic. It always says: go on, get moving, while TSB says: take a break.

      The questions:

      • Is it even necessary to track sleep? What calculations would suffer if sleep wasn’t tracked? Does the lack of HRV only affect the recovery percentage, or does it also affect progress due to ALT (fatigue)?
      • Would it be possible to import sleep data from another source? (I’ve tried using Health Sync without success so far)
