Battery drain after update 2.44.46 (2025 Q3) on Vertical Watch
-
Further update I can confirm that disconnecting paired device (hr Monitor) did not help battery life still going down at same rate. There must be other potential causes of this that are unknown
-
@surfboomerang 2-3% - that’s too much without activities.
-
@gone-troppo I had data loss (first time with FW upgrade) battery consumption has not deteriorated.
-
@Ars-Vitae
Too much for a whole day ? -
@Ars-Vitae With notifications on an no power saving… I think it’s a good score.
The drain rate is the same as before the firmware update. -
@sartoric Without notifications, wrist HR off and no workouts mine is around 1-1.5% per day. And so it has been for two years.
-
@surfboomerang I’ve never checked, I don’t use notifications. So you’re probably right, it should be a good score.
-
I’m on my second discharge/charge cycle now post firmware upgrade and it seems like the battery life is returning to previous. Also interestingly yesterday I gained back 1% of battery wing outside most of the day in the sun.
-
I’m also trying to fully discharge the battery because the consumption data keeps getting worse.
I’m attaching a chart from the last recharge, which only shows two hours of recorded activity. I have HR tracking enabled all day, but notifications are turned off.

I have HR tracking enabled all day, but notifications are turned off.Based on what you wrote and this table, you should record consumption at around 54%. 12 x 4 (normal consumption without notifications and HR - max. 2% + 2% wrist HR for 24 hours) and approx. 6% for 2 hours of activity. The consumption should be at around 45% on the last day. This is clearly an issue. In comparison, I have not noticed anything like this on my SV. The consumption is similar to what it was before the update. If more people are experiencing this issue, then history is repeating itself from a year ago. I hope for all of you that Suunto is aware of the problem and will solve it quickly.
