    @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in SSU 2.5.18 - ON AIR:

    @kolyany4 definitely does for me 🙂 Strange… I have backlight to off

    It was found that
    Case 1:
    Setting->General->Backlight->Mode = Toggle
    and
    Exercise->…->Options->Backlight = Normal,
    then backlight is not activated during Exercise if buttons are pressed.

    Case 2:
    Setting->General->Backlight->Mode = Automatic
    and
    Exercise->…->Options->Backlight = Normal,
    then backlight activates if I press any button (during Exercise)…

    Thus, it would be great to have option to activate backlight during Exercise even when Mode == Toggle…
    which doesn’t mean that in latter case backlight should be activated whenever button is pressed: I activated Toggle mode for backlight to save battery as much as possible, and I want backlight on only if I explicitly activate it (e.g., by some key combination in this case)…

      @kolyany4 Exactly, that’s what I thought. I have always used toggle mode to save some battery. But because you are unable to tu turn the backlight on when you turn the touchscreen off I think I will use the automatic mode with 10% brightness or something.

        Hello guys,

        updated my S9 and went for an easy run. It was also a good opportunity to test the OHR if it got fixed (not that it is mentioned on the change logs).

        Well it is not. As you can see on the pics there is dramatic drop on the graph and that is when the OHR starts to work properly. On the second photo you can see the location of the watch on my hand.

        Thank you

              @nassosc I think there was no ohr update and I think the ohr will become more hard in the winter as temps drop. However there will be an update I think on the next batch, if finished with valencell.

                      @nassosc ok. Well more important is that there was no update at least. I mean it like dont get hopes high and start testing or complex it. Sorry to hear though that your OHR is not ok.

                        Unfortunatly todays running after the update was one of the worst tracks I ever had, concerning GPS (GLONASS on) and OHR. Will see how this goes on this week. 😔

                              @paradize btw in regards to prev posts about a FW reset to “clear cache” of the GPS module, now this works with a 12s reboot. A series of horrible tracks should be helped by that.

                                Went for interval training (run) and it was great to be able to disable automatic laps, not hearing beeps now in the middle of the interval 😄

                                Also noted that after run was done, it’s now displaying total steps for the workout, before it was just the cadence, liked it, now it’s Suunto app turn to pull that when syncing, (it didn’t)

                                thanks

                                  Same here, just interval this morning and see that for running 🙂 , but not for yesterday 's Squash 😞 (cadence doesn’t make sense but steps can be good info)

                                  I imagine that this watch info, will be catched by SA (in any new release) and reported to backend.

                                  Happy with the FW improvements and bugfixes

                                    Guys, sorry for recurrent question but do you know whether it is possible to turn off touchscreen for certain activity using combination of new SSU firmware and latest version of Suunto App? I can’t find the option neither in watch nor in the app. So do I need to use MovesCount for that?

                                        @Saketo-Nemo thank you for your reply. It’s a shame that this option is not part of the latest FW. Almost all of the other options are there. So maybe next time 🙂
