SSU 2.5.18 - ON AIR

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos As i said i don’t want to start a flame for nothing. Talking about fw update what does it mean “Outdoor settings menu updated to make it easier set your reference altitude”, just have a look and it seems me as before the update…
-
@renton82 if you are using the s9 I think its the options that are more accessible else I mixed up the notes (which I did not post here) and then I ll need to fix that.
I think 2 things might have changed for the S9 and that is faster options on the Alti/baro menu and more detailed baro graph (if that was not there already, sorry I am not on that FW atm) -

-You can now easily reject or answer calls from your Spartan.
Hi, thanks for the news, and as i have a second cable at work, I have updated my SSU
Not all tested of course, but still not able to reject or answer a phone call.
Is there a specific swipe technic on the watch screen to do it ? -
@Mff73 you are on android? This function was available only on iOS.
-
@Mff73 its iOS only (is that not on the release notes? Just doublechecking)
Its iOS only since Android does not support this via native connection as far as I remember.
-
Argh, thanks for answering.
Not a big deal, i still don’t buy an iphone only for that -

And the release note is for Watch, not for app, so no clue if IOS/Android related
-
@Mff73 you should
-

Also the new laps from S9 are here for others
-
Finally the S3F can record altitude information and display it in SA in the diagram Thanks Suunto and @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
-
@Armin-S there is more to come on this. We do have some trouble on creating the ASC/DEsc totals on the app side due to inconsistencies so we might make this native on the watch. It’s not easy with the connected GPS to achieve this at the level of other Spartans and this is our target But as the promise was and is it’s almost greatly there. !
We HEAR you guys and girls
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos thanks for the update. I like a lot that I can now enable paired sensors from the excercise start screen. Totally unexpected but rather cool. One less blocker from moving to SA.
-
Thanks dev team for the update!
After the update, the sync with SA is coming back to normal (not stuck during “preparing sync”). We have to wait few days to confirm because an update it is almost like a reset, no?
I have already done a walk activity to test the FW.
I haven’t noticed high heart rate at the begining of the activity.A small remark, i’m not a big fan of the new position of GPS settings (under “power saving”) just because it’s one click more to access it. But the remark is not there, if GPS settings have been moved under “power saving” why the Glonass still remain at the first level? it should be under the same menu as it uses much more power.

@Tim4c GLonass is a system-wide setting that affects all sports modes. Over there it just shortcuts to it. However I hope it goes away and settles to navigation options like on the S9.
Regarding the GPS under powersaving its a alignment with the S9 were also has it there. Its to help non advanced users not to put the GPS to GOOD thinking its GOOD but its more about powersaving.
In short this comes from stats and surveys.
-
@Tim4c But there is always room for improvements so all feedback is welcome
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Ok, Thanks and understood
-
@Tim4c The s9 has glonass on the navigation settings and users coming from the SSU are searching for it.
If I can also add some techie reasons that is because on SSU/Spartans GLonass can be changed on the runtime while on the S9 (currently ) only when the chip is fired up (initialized)
