As of “no stable” is that the improvement vs random error could be compared to GPS with glonass and GPS going to their own special cases.
- I prefer Glonass in the woods
- I prefer GPS only on the Road
-
I pressed the top button by mistake and (probably) created a multisport entry.
Let see how the watch handled it.
SA seems mostly fine except the HR graph. It seems it has captured the HR graph from second one second long activity.
So, information is missing from both the watch and SA. Did not upload yet to MC -
@Tim4c I like your mockups!
-
FW update wiped today’s run from this week’s training summary on the watch. Anyone else see this?

@stromdiddily About Glonass, my vague memory was that it was not improving the GPS accuracy in most cases, only for some (very) specific regions. E.g. in Western Europe activating Glonass would result in a less accurate trace than without.
Am I wrong thinking that? I actually never tried it myself, no facts being my vague memoryYeah I’ve seen similar claims. I have a few routes that I run a lot (woods and urban) so really just interested to experiment.

Still no way to set barometer for each activity (or in standby mode) or calibrate altimeter during activities. Since Movescount link is broken we can’t no longer set barometer (auto, altimeter or barometer) for each activities…
-
@renton82 you mean in suunto app sport customization?
-
@SlaSh Yes, or maybe from watch menu directly…
-
@renton82 watch menu is coming
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Thanks!
-
Also power off “button” would be nice… there are periods that i can’t use the watch and for me it would be better to switch it off instead of leave it discharging or remember to charge it, they are all useless charges cycles…
-
@renton82 I would not leave a lithium device unused
-
Ok, but you could always leave it at 50% of charge for storage as i do with all my elctronic devices (cameras, drone, watches power banks etc…). It would be nice if you can let us a chance of choice…
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos it is perfectly fine to leave it half charged and turned off, instead of leaving powered and letting it to discharge and be left discharged for prolonged time that can make damage to battery…
-
@SlaSh if you let the watch off and the battery drops to actuall 0 you will loose watch memory as of time etc.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos But if you leave it at 50% and you switch it off it would be fine…
-
@renton82 I think yes

Finally the S3F can record altitude information and display it in SA in the diagram Thanks Suunto and @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
WOW - and SLEEPTRACKING also worked pretty well with the update on S3F - at least last night
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos same will happen with powered on and discharged to 0.
-
@SlaSh duh! but then you know that
