@Gunnar I’d love a vertical 3 pro LTE with MIPS (or AMOLED if battery life >= SV1)

I also would like to have a watch with only the features I use and those should work the way I want to, in a small case with excellent battery life for a decent price. 😉

I would not draw too many conclusions from a survey. At least a cellular watch is in the pool of ideas.

I agree with @egika ; there was a survey last year clearly pointing to bike computer, and nothing as come yet (and will ever ?)

@Tieutieu Just let me dream. And my Race S will keep going for a few more years. I can wait. 😅

My impression from the survey is that Suunto is looking quite broadly at where the platform should/could go next. There are many individual ideas, but I still think some fairly clear themes are emerging – especially around making better use of the data that the watches and sensors are already collecting.

What I find particularly interesting is decision support, both for training and outdoor use. In other words, the watch would not just show more numbers, but increasingly help assess what you should do based on them – for example, whether you are ready for the next interval, whether a training session should be adjusted, or how weather, terrain, daylight and physical load should influence a route or decision.

The things that stood out to me in particular were:

                      • More decision support in training and outdoor use
                      • More AI and personalised training guidance
                      • Better use of sensor and recovery data
                      • Greater flexibility through SuuntoPlus, widgets and custom functions
                      • More focus on strength training, running dynamics and specialised sports features

To me, it does not necessarily look like an attempt to become Ga#$n. It looks more like Suunto is trying to build further on its own strengths in outdoor and performance, but with more intelligent software and better use of the data it already has.

@Tieutieu Maybe because of that survey they found out that no one wants it😁.

                          @Rayfox

                          I see 2 themes.

First AI. Many companies are in the “we need to do something with AI” mode, but haven’t got a clue what to do.

Second. Safety. Let people know where you are. Is it save to continue or better to return due to darkness or changing weather. Reachable without a telephone. Reachable via satellite.

Personal, I don’t pay much attention to recovery scores or training readiness scores. I know my body better that those scores based on averages and statistics (and pseudo science). Adding AI (with who knows what bias) doesn’t make it better. For me.

Safety features on the other hand… those I want.

I agree. Safety is probably the clearest and most concrete theme: location sharing, when to turn back, weather/daylight awareness, and potentially satellite communication.

I’m more cautious about AI. For me, it becomes interesting when it uses my own data and context to provide useful decision support, rather than just another generic recovery or readiness score.

So safety + context-aware decision support interests me more than AI as a feature by itself.

What I’d like to see -

Working out my zones with a structured guide

Suggested paces based on previous results/HR/heat/zonesense (insert anything else)

Trail training features (find a hill or section of trail and choose this as your training area)

                                Larger fonts

                                Online or backup to phone

                                Web based software

Option to choose fabric band for all watches

                                Red light LED flashlight/screen option

More voice prompts such as interval/warm up/recovery inc count down, target hr/pace etc, and voice alerts if you go above or below like Runna does

                                Watch: Suunto Race S
