switching between 2 smart heart rate belts do not autoconnect
-
Hi,
I have 2x a bluetooth smart heart rate belt that I use with my new vertical 2. They both work fine technically. However I seem to have a strange issue.
Only the latest heart rate belt that I used will automatically connect the next time. When I want to use the other one, it does not automatically connect. When I manually connect the strap in the settings it works fine.
Is this expected behavior that the watch will only automatically connect to the sensor that I used the last time and not recognize the second one unless I manually connect it first?
thanks, Stefan

@stefanvanruiten I’ve asked this before, and I was told that this is by design. I was used to other brands where the device will autoconnect to the availiable bluetooth sensor.
Theoreticaly each sport mode will autoconnect to the last sensor used in that sportmode, so it is sportmode dependent.
This is what I was told. -

Yes, in Suunto tha’s the behavior, the last ‘known’ device is found and reconnected. If you want to connect another device you must select it in the “Devices Menu” before starting activity.
With other brands the active device is “auto discovered” and auto-connected.

ah okay, thanks for the replies. That is unfortunate. It happened twice already that I didn’t manually switch to the other device (i switch between the two every day so they can properly dry before I use them again) and I only got pulse based heart rate without zonesense for the activity.
